All Oregon Soccer Club players and parents are again invited to join our entry in the Oregon High School Homecoming Parade.

This year's parade is Friday, Oct. 13 and starts at 1:30 p.m. Players are asked to assemble at the high school starting at 1 p.m. The theme this year is "A Night in New York."

Please be aware that neither the club nor the schools can be responsible for transporting children to the high school.

If your child chooses to participate, parents with students at Brooklyn, Forest Edge, Netherwood Knoll, OMS, Prairie View and RCI need to sign their child out of school, transport them to the high school by 1 p.m. and then pick their child up near Village Hall immediately following the parade. Schools are sending out forms for parents to complete to allow them to be released for the parade.

The plan is for players to walk with their teammates, coaches and managers. However, we need at least one adult volunteer per team to walk in the parade. Please organize this directly through your team or age-group pool. You must know who the responsible adult in the parade is from your child's team/pool before dropping off your child, and your child needs to find their team and that adult at the starting spot.

Our parade starting spot is in the Blue Cone Zone and we are the 3rd entry in that section. We will line up on No-Name Rd, north of OHS.

Players, coaches and parents walking in the parade should wear Oregon SC jerseys and/or club gear, and OSC and soccer signs are encouraged. The Oregon School District strongly discourages throwing or handing out candy or other food for health and safety reasons. Students may have severe food allergies. It also can cause a safety hazard for students to run into the road to retrieve candy or other items.

This is always an exciting event for the players; we hope your child can attend and join in the fun! If you have any questions, please contact Stacy Argue at stacy.argue@gmail.com.

Go Panthers!
