Oregon SC is offering a new option for high school-age players starting in the 2023-24 season, either in addition to our standard High School programs or as a stand-alone option for players who are not otherwise registered to play club soccer.
The High School Extra program includes:
A minimum of eight players must register for the High School Extra program to operate during a season. The cost will be dependent on the number of registrants and whether there are enough players to send a team to a college showcase tournament.
In conjunction with the launch of this program, we are making one change to our standard High School programs for girls in the fall and for boys in the spring: Those programs will now include two 90-minute practices per week rather than two 90-minute sessions and one 60-minute session.
No other changes are planned for the high school-age teams, which will continue to play in WYSA State League or MAYSA leagues and in two tournaments per season. Additionally, we will continue to prioritize high school-age teams for recording games with our Veo cameras, and we're planning to schedule a College Night for players who are interested in playing soccer in college.

We believe that these changes and additions will allow us to better meet the needs of more high school-age players in our community, including those might not play club soccer because they also compete in WIAA interscholastic sports.
