Oregon SC is offering a six-week summer training program in June and July, with coach Craig Abendroth leading two sessions per week for four boys groups and four girls groups.
This is an optional program open to players who are registered for the Oregon SC Competitive program for the 2025-2026 season.

Mondays and Wednesdays

GIRLS
Tuesdays and Thursdays
- 2011-2012-2013: 9-11 a.m.
- 2007-2008-2009-2010: 11 a.m.-1 p.m. (Starts July 1)

Registration will be an add-on option in 2025-2026 Competitive registration.
Cost
You will be able to choose from the following session options. Use your sessions whenever they work in your schedule.
- 6 sessions for $140
- 8 sessions for $160
- 10 sessions for $180 (all sessions for 2007-2008-2009-2010 Girls)
- 12 sessions for $200 (all sessions for all other groups)
Activities in each session
- Warm-up: Dynamic warm-up and stretch that is player-led while Craig discusses that training’s objectives.
- Physical training: A combination of cardiovascular endurance, agility training, body-weight exercises, dynamic plyometrics and isometric exercises.
- Transition: Players take 15 minutes to recover, change into cleats and discuss various tactical elements of the game (age dependent), nutrition, recovery, as well as previewing the upcoming technical activities.
- Technical: A combination of individual and small-sided activities focused on improving players' technical skills, tactical awareness and play-making ability, using rondos, patterns of play, small sided games and scenario-based training exercises.
- Warm-down: Dynamic warm-down and stretch, focused on recovery, player-led, while Craig reviews the day’s training and off-day expectations.
Player requirements
- Gear bag
- Minimum 32 oz of water (1 gallon recommended). Water only, not sports drinks, flavored water, etc.
- Tennis shoes (Arrive in tennis shoes for the physical training phase of practice)
- Soccer cleats
- Extra soccer socks
- Shin guards
- Size 4 or 5 soccer ball, depending on age
- Sunscreen
- Notebook and pen/pencil
