All Oregon Soccer Club players are once again invited to walk in the Oregon High School Homecoming Parade. This year's parade is on Friday, Sept. 21, and starts at 2 p.m. Players are asked to assemble at the high school by 1:45 p.m.

Please be aware that neither the club nor the schools can be responsible for transporting children to the high school. If your child chooses to participate, parents with students at Brooklyn Elementary, Netherwood Knoll Elementary, Oregon Middle, Prairie View Elementary and Rome Corners Intermediate need to sign their child out of school, transport them to the high school by 1:45 p.m. and then pick their child up near Village Hall immediately following the parade. Some schools have sent out forms for parents to complete to allow them to be released for the parade.

The plan is for players to walk with their teams, coaches, assistant coaches and managers. However, we need at least one adult volunteer per team to walk in the parade. Please organize this directly through your team or age-group pool. You must know who the responsible adult in the parade is from your child's team/pool before dropping off your child, and your child needs to find his or her team and that adult at the starting spot.

The Oregon SC entry is Yellow 6 and the starting position will be along the school in the OHS parking lot near the corner of N. Perry and Orchard. (Starting lineup map) The parade starts at the corner of N. Perry and Lincoln, then turns left on Main, left on Janesville, left on Spring and ends in front of Village Hall.

Players, coaches and parents walking in the parade should wear Oregon SC jerseys and/or club gear, and OSC and soccer signs are encouraged. Candy can be handed out during the parade, but it cannot be thrown. The club will not be providing candy.

This is always an exciting event for the players; we hope your child can attend and join in the fun! If you have any questions, please contact Nick Riemer at vice-president@oregonsc.com
