Mark your calendars: All Oregon SC players from Under-7/8 through Under-12 are invited to attend the Oregon High School Boys Soccer Youth Mini-Camp on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Huntoon Field.

The free event runs from 5-6:30 p.m. and will feature the Panthers' players working with the next few generations of Oregon soccer players. This is a great way for our club and high school programs to work together to promote soccer in our community.

Players should have soccer socks, shinguards, a properly inflated ball and a full water bottle, and are asked to be at the stadium by 4:45 p.m. - enter through the south entrance closest to the parking lot near the ice arena, and they will be directed as to where to go. Parents do not need to stay for the event, but are welcome to stay and sit in the stands.

Oregon SC is canceling practices for those age groups on Sept. 12. Here's how this impacts specific programs/pools/teams:

  • U7/8 In-House and U9 and older Recreational teams: If a team usually practices on Wednesday night, coaches will be encouraged to find an alternate practice night for this week. If a team isn't scheduled to practice on Wednesday nights, this will be an additional practice.
  • U9/10 Boys Academy: The clinic is an additional practice.
  • U9/10 Girls Academy: The clinic replaces their Wednesday practice.
  • U11 Boys and Girls Competitive: The clinic replaces their Wednesday practice.
  • U12 Boys and Girls Competitive: This is an additional practice.
  • U12 Boys and Girls goalkeepers: They should attend their regularly scheduled training session with coach Mike McAllister starting at 3:45 p.m. The session will end at 5 p.m., and players then can attend the clinic.

Several Oregon SC competitive coaches will attend the clinic and provide assistance as needed.

Also, all Oregon SC players also are invited to come to Huntoon Field on Tuesday, Sept. 18, for the annual OHS Youth Night.

Players wearing their OSC jerseys will receive free admission to the Panthers' Southern Badger Conference match against Watertown; please note that youth players must be accompanied by an adult. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
