A pair of Oregon SC boys teams will shoot for spots in the State Cup, as they play Wisconsin State Championships play-in games over the next week.

The Under-13 Oregon Orange team faces Rush Wisconsin on Friday, April 20 at Goodman Pitch East on the Madison College campus. Kickoff on the turf field is set for 8:30 p.m. Oregon is seeded 16th in the 22-team field, just ahead of No. 17 seed Rush Wisconsin. Acting Director of Coaching Dave Brown will coach the Oregon side for this match, as their coach Kyle Holford is currently out of the country.

Meanwhile, the Under-18 Oregon Orange team will face Hartford United Black in its play-in game on Wednesday, April 25, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at Madison College. Brown's team is seeded 13th out of the 22 teams entered, while HUSC is seeded 20th.

Play-in game winners earn berths in the 16-team State Cup group stage, which will be held over Memorial Day weekend from May 26 to 28 at the Scheels USA Youth Complex in Appleton. The four group champions advance to the semifinals June 2 at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee, and the state finals will be played June 3 at Uihlein.

The tournament is run by the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association and is part of the nationwide U.S. Youth Soccer Championship Series. Wisconsin champions qualify for the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Championships from June 22-27 in Westfield, Ind.
