Oregon SC is pleased to announce that David Brown is serving as the club's Acting Director of Coaching.
The 27-year-old Brown, a native of Bristol, England, is in his fourth year coaching in Oregon as part of the club's partnership with Challenger Sports. In his role as Acting DOC, he will be the primary contact for all coaching and player development topics.
"I am delighted to have been asked to become the Acting Director of Coaching and continue the work of Kevin Gowrie and Henry Aiyenero," Brown said. "The club has become a huge part of my life, and I look forward to challenging myself in the new role and continuing to help the club move forward."
Brown holds a U.S. Soccer Federation National "D" license and will be pursuing a National "C" license later this year. He also has a degree in Sports Coaching and Development from the University of Wales, Newport, in addition to Level 2, Youth Module 2 and Speed and Quickness Level 1 licenses from the English Football Association.
This spring, Brown is the lead coach for four Oregon SC competitive teams - Under-12 Girls Orange, Under-12 Girls Black, Under-13 Girls Orange and Under-18 Boys Orange - and is the assistant for the Under-11 and Under-15 Girls Orange sides. He also will work with the Under-16 and Under-19 Boys Orange teams as part of our pool training approach.
