We're hoping all Oregon SC players from Rookie League through Under-13 make plans to attend the Oregon High School Girls Soccer Youth Mini-Camp on Monday, April 23, at Huntoon Field.

This free event runs from 5:30-7 p.m. and will feature the Panthers' players working with the next few generations of Oregon soccer players. This is a great way for our club and high school programs to work together to promote soccer in our community.

Players should have soccer socks, shinguards, a properly inflated ball and a full water bottle, and are asked to be at the stadium by 5:20 p.m. - enter through the south entrance closest to the parking lot near the ice arena, and they will be directed as to where to go. Parents do not need to stay for the event, but are welcome to stay and sit in the stands.

Oregon SC is canceling most practices for April 23; the exceptions are Under-14/15 girls and boys competitive and Under-16/18/19 boys competitive. Here's how this impacts specific programs/pools/teams:

  • Rookie League: This is in addition to their weekly Sunday sessions.
  • U7/8 and U9 and older Rec teams: If a team has practice scheduled on Mondays, coaches will be encouraged to find an alternate practice night for this week. If a team isn't scheduled to practice on Mondays, this is an additional practice.
  • U9/10 Academy girls: This is an additional practice.
  • U9/10 Academy boys: The clinic replaces their Monday practice.
  • U11 Competitive girls and boys: The clinic replaces their Monday practice.
  • U12 and U13 Competitive girls and boys: This is an additional practice.

Oregon SC coach Mike McAllister is planning to attend the clinic and will assist as needed. David Brown, Kyle Holford, Ben Wainwright and Brandon Wachholz will not be available as they will be running other practices at this time.
