Donations of Cleats, Jerseys Distributed by 1000 Cleats in Nigeria

During the Oregon Soccer Fall Fury in October, we asked Oregon SC families to donate soccer cleats, jerseys and other gear to 1000 Cleats and Alice Apo Inc., a non-profit created by OSC coach Edward Ogodogu that provides soccer and other opportunities for kids in his native Nigeria.

The Oregon High School boys soccer program joined us in the project, encouraging their players and their opponents from Hudson, Eau Claire Memorial and Sun Prairie to donate.

We were thrilled with how many pairs of cleats and jerseys we were able to donate to 1000 Cleats. The gear was distributed in December 2021 during the organization's fifth annual tournament in Jos in Nigeria's Middle Belt. The top three teams in the event received tokens, which the kids can use to buy school supplies.
