Update: We have filled these positions. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest.

Do you like to spend time outside? Would you like to play a vital role with Oregon Soccer Club? How about being paid to do so?

We're looking for at least two people to take over lining fields for our practices and games, starting in July.

Jeff Vondra and Steve Zauner, who have handled these duties in recent years, have decided to step away from their positions. We thank them for their fine work and dedication, and they have offered to help train their successors.

This role requires approximately 10 hours per week during the season, and approximately 35 hours before each season to lay out the fields.

Some requirements:

  • Have  a vehicle and the ability to tow a small trailer with a 1-7/8 inch ball, as fields are spread throughout Oregon and Brooklyn.
  • Have a flexible schedule. Generally, lines should be painted on Thursdays and Fridays, but those days often change based on game schedules and weather. Fields usually are painted after fields are mowed, so regular communication with Field Crew Coordinator Clint Kreckman and Field Coordinator Mike Jochmann is needed. Additionally, painting lines on Oregon School District fields cannot be done until after school is out for the day.
  • Must be able to regularly lift 50 pounds (5 gallon paint bucket).
  • One field painter will be responsible for monitoring and re-stocking paint supplies.

The pay is $20 per hour, and people in this position are exempt from the annual Oregon SC volunteer requirements.

If you're interested in the position or have questions about it, please email president@oregonsc.com.
