A pair of Oregon SC boys teams will play in state tournaments over the next two weekends.

Coach David Brown's side is one of 11 teams in its division and will play two group matches Saturday, against the FC Wisconsin MRL team at 10:15 a.m. and the Delavan Comets at 5:45 p.m.

The top five teams after Saturday's games will advance to a single-elimination tournament Sunday to determine the state champion, while the other six sides will play consolation games. State winners will have the opportunity to play in the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Presidents Cup, which is June 15-19  in Overland Park, Kan.

Then over Memorial Day weekend, the Oregon Orange Under-17 team will participate in group play at the Wisconsin State Championships - commonly called the State Cup - at the Scheels USA Youth Complex in Appleton. (Schedules/results/standings)

The team, coached by Kevin Gowrie and David Troy, earned its spot in the State Cup by beating Appleton's NEW United Select 2-1 in a play-in game on April 23. Oregon Orange will face SC Waukesha Blue on May 27, Oshkosh United on May 28 and Strike FC Wisconsin Premier on May 29 in Group B play.

The semifinals and finals are scheduled for June 3 and 4 at Woodside Sports Complex in Wisconsin Dells. State champions earn berths in the U.S. Youth Soccer Region II Championships, which are June 23-28 in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Best of luck to these Oregon SC teams!
